Subject:I want to go for a walk now
Time:11:53 pm.

But it's late. I really wish there was some other way to effectively sort out my feelings other than sulking in bed...

Subject:As I said before...
Time:9:21 pm.
Mood: lazy.
Walking at night is fun.

Anyway, this week has been pretty much lackluster, mainly because there wasn't really a whole lot to do. I can think of plenty of times where I felt like playing some Atari or whatever, but didn't. I think that might have something to do with the fact that my 7800 is hooked up through RF, and I absolutely loathe RF now. If I had the money to have all my RF-only systems (2600, 5200, 7800, Colecovision, Intellivision II) modded for composite or S-video, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Not only that, I wasn't able to hang out with either asaneboo_cloud or Bibbitt this week. Teri had her mom's and aunt's birthdays, and Bibbitt wasn't able to hang out for some reason. I think it might have to do with the fact that her family's been going through some hard times lately. Oh well, there's always next week. I'm especially eager to meet up with Teri considering the fact that I've got something important I need to tell her...

On another note, I found out yesterday that I can still drop my Music Fundamentals class (the one I keep ranting about), and not have my dropping out affect my GPA. If things continue to go poorly in that class, I'll drop it with no questions asked. On that note, I also found out that I've got a llllllooooooonnnnnngggg way to go if I expect to get an AA/AS degree, and that involves a crapload of classes. Something tells me I won't enjoy next quarter. At all.

Subject:Walking at night is fun.
Time:8:44 pm.
Mood: cheerful.
Tonight, I decided to go ahead and walk around the block at night, which I've never done for obvious reasons. It's actually more enjoyable than walking in the afternoon or in the early morning, like I usually do. Lots of interesting smells too, which adds to the whole mood.

On another note, I went to asaneboo_cloud's house yesterday, which was mostly uneventful but still fun. We made mac & cheese for lunch, watched some TV, and watched a couple of eps of Gundam Wing. As I said before, I hadn't seen it in years until now, and I just realized how friggin' cheesy the dubbing is. If any series should be redubbed, Gundam Wing should be one of the first to go. I really wanted to stay longer, since my cousin wouldn't be here until late at night, but she had to let me go. I told her that next time we should go to Oakridge for a change. Maybe she can advise me on picking up some new manga or anime, if I can find my wallet (which has been missing for God knows how long).

Subject:Tonight was wild.
Time:10:22 pm.
Mood: hungry.
And before you ask, no I wasn't at a wild party or anything of the sort. I just went through a magnitude 5.6 earthquake, that's all. I'm happy to say nothing was damaged at my house or in my class.

On a side note, I'm becoming more and more impatient for Thursday to roll around, mainly because I don't have class that day and I get to go over to asaneboo_cloud's house. But I'm not happy about tomorrow since I have a test in my music class, and chances are it won't go well. However, I am pleased to say that the midterm for my night class went way better than I expected. Nothing gets your brain more active like figuring out the subdominant note of a G flat scale.

Time:9:04 pm.
Mood: drained.
Wouldn't you know it, I got sick over the weekend. I don't get sick very often, but when I do it really sucks. I came down with a fever and a really sore throat, in addition to a stuffy nose. My fever's gone now, but my voice is messed up and my throat is still a bit scratchy. I took today off from school, but I should be mostly fine tomorrow. Luckily, I only have one class in the morning before my night class. Speaking of which, I have my midterms tomorrow night for that class. <sarcasm>Whoopee.</sarcasm> Well, at least I get to hang out with Bibbitt and asaneboo_cloud this week. Oh, and my cousin Douglas is coming over Thursday, which is cool considering he's my fav cousin.

Subject:A week in review, sort of.
Time:2:14 am.
Mood: crappy.
This week marked the first time I've ever had to ride the bus for school. The reason being was that my dad would be gone for part of the week, and so he wanted me to try taking the bus to school. The main catch was that I had to wake up at like 6:30, which is something I'm not good at. What made it even worse was that it was still dark out, which threw me off. I guess that's part of the reason why I dislike fall and winter, since I hate short days. Anyway, the bus ride was mainly uneventul, but I met a girl named Bibbitt (her real name is Bernadette, I think). She's real friendly, and I found out that she knows my first girlfriend, which was unexpected but interesting. We wound up hanging out the next day with one of her friends, and I was actually able to walk all the way from my house to Branham Park, which I never thought I could do, so go me. :P

So then Wednesday comes and I have to take the bus in the morning again for the next two days. I'm so glad I don't have to do it anymore for the time being, now that my dad is back. Otherwise, Wednesday was uneventful. Thursday was kinda the same deal, except asaneboo_cloud came over again. We didn't really do a whole lot; we mainly went over to the school near my house, goofed around the playground there, and lied down under a tree. So then we got back and watched some stuff on YouTube, and for the next hour or so we just sat on the couch and petted my dog Camille every so often. She invited me over to her house next week, and we'll hopefully get around to watching some Gundam Wing, which I haven't seen in years.

But today just sucked. I'm not exactly doing that well in my Music Fundamentals class, and I really want to drop it now. My Comprehensive Musicianship covers most of the same stuff and goes at a pace I can actually follow, whereas I get hit with assignments and get confused in Music Fundamentals. Electronic Music wasn't bad though, since I was able to finish my third project for that class. I was worried I wouldn't finish it in time, but I hit the requirements and got a good grade on it. But just recently I got into a heated argument with my sister about the DVD player in my room. It used to be hers, but she wanted back for some odd reason and I told her to find the portable DVD player. Of course, she got confrontational on me as always, and now I'm just kinda depressed at the moment (since I just had a mini-stress attack on top of that).

Oh well, hopefully next week won't be as bittersweet, since I get to see Teri again and I don't have Music Fundamentals for Thursday and Friday. Woot.

Subject:Today was quite nice.
Time:9:08 pm.
Mood: happy.
Today was a pretty good day, I guess. My brother had to go to tutorial this morning, so I got to stay at home a bit longer than usual before going to school. Class was pretty fun, surprisingly. I was thinking of actually dropping my Music Fundamentals class, but it's getting a bit better and the instructor is alright. Lots of sight singing and banging sticks on music stands, at least on Thursdays. So then I ride the bus back home as usual, and was greeted by the sight of guys hammering in tiles in what will be the new walkway for the front yard. I got Gradius for my PC Engine Duo in the mail, which was cool. I'm surprised that the Konami code actually works in the PC Engine version like it does in the NES version.

The real highlight of today was having asaneboo_cloud come over during the afternoon. We had lunch (which I cooked), watched an ep of Azumanga Daioh, walked around the block twice, and of course, pet my dog Camille. I would've liked her to stay a little bit longer, but I had an orthodontist appointment at around 4:15, so she had to leave and I had to get ready. If you're curious, everything checked out fine, and I don't have to go back for another year. Woot.

Tomorrow won't be as fun, seeing as how I have to finish my Logic Pro project for Electronic Music, and the fact that Teri wasn't able to go to my old school's harvest festival with me. Oh well, at least I can spend tomorrow trying to beat Gradius.

Time:9:37 pm.
Yep, you're looking at this right, I finally have a new entry up in almost a year. Why have I been gone for so long? Well, blame it on a combination of Facebook and MySpace, and me forgetting my LJ password. So I might as well post some noteworthy events that happened with me recently...

So I started college two weeks ago, and so far it's been pretty good. Way better than high school, no doubt. The only class that I haven't enjoyed so much is Music Fundamentals, which I think is too advanced for me, seeing as how I take a more basic music class on Tuesday nights. I've been thinking of dropping it, but I don't know how my parents would react, so I might as well keep it going. As for my two other classes, I've got Japanese Animation (not just anime) and Electronic Music. Japanese Animation wasn't really what I expected, but it's still fascinating, if a bit boring. So far I've seen Nausicaa (which was pretty good, even if it was slow-moving), some shorts set during WWII, and another early Miyazaki work called Panda! Go Panda!. I also got to meet asaneboo_cloud in that class which was cool. Unfortunately she's dropping that class so I'm gonna miss her. At least we can still hang out one of these days, so it's not all bad.

My Electronic Music class is pretty cool; we just finished working with GarageBand and now we're moving on to Logic Pro. I only messed around a little bit in Logic Pro, but so far it's been a joy to work with. I can't wait to actually put together a song with it.

Now moving on to non-school matters. My parents seem to be spending a lot of money on the house lately, as our roof was redone two weeks ago, and today I got to see the somewhat shocking sight of seeing the backyard getting completely torn up. Why you ask? To get a pool put in. Sometimes I wonder if my parents really want to do this stuff, or if they just want to increase the value of the house and sell it after I move out or something.

I also took my driver's permit test today and actually passed it this time (I took it 8 months ago and failed). What makes it even better is that me and my sister got a new car, a 2007 VW Jetta, which is pretty cool. I was still kinda expecting to get a Dodge Caliber, but at least I fulfilled my childhood dreams of getting a VW.

So that's all the recent stuff that's been going on with me. Hopefully I'll find the time to actually update this regularly...

Subject:First week of school...
Time:10:39 pm.
Mood: okay.
Well, just got through my first week of my last year of school, and so far I think things are going to be somewhat better than the nightmare that was my junior year. For first period, I have Economics with Mr. Wolf. I thought this class would be pretty hard, but it turned to be the opposite. I actually understand quite a few things in that class, mainly because I already have a decent grip on economics. Next up is English 4 with Mrs. Huffman, and so far we've given two essays or whatever to write, which is a good indication that I won't be too fond of this class. And at the end of the day is Living on Your Own with Mrs. Goodenough (yes, that's her real last name). She seems pretty nice, and I think I'm gonna enjoy this class, since I wanna be able to move out of the house when I'm able to.

Then on B-days, my first class is Spanish 2 with Mrs. Maiten. She's a nice change from my Spanish 1 teacher, who usually held us back two or more minutes if the class wasn't quiet enough (which was very often). And my final class of the day is Drama 1 with Ms. Moseley. I'm really gonna like this class, since I tried getting into acting last year and the fact that Ms. Moseley is one of the coolest teachers in the whole school. And I especially like B-days since I get out of school early, around 11:50, which is lunch at my school.

So those are my classes, I guess.

Yes, it's a Roland Jupiter-4 from around 1978. It sounds like nothing else and I'm pleased to say nothing's wrong with it (despite what the shop told me).
